Yes, that's exactly what they do. Copy to clipboard and read (listen) to the
doc. They even do this with the publisher files for textbooks with out any
problems. If they choose they can convert the PDF files using the converter
in OmniPage 12/13 in our computer lab. Depending on which file format meets
their needs.

I was not aware that ReadPlease could open PDF files.  Are your students
perhaps copying text from the PDF files, and then using ReadPlease to read
from the clipboard?
