Hi all,
I have reformatted a client's old comuter (win95 OS) and setup MS outlook98 with his internet email address settings and MS Exchange profile. He has email on both machines now. I setup his internet email on this computer to leave mail on the server and made sure the box to delete email from the server after a certain number of days was unchecked. Theoretically he should be able to receive the same emails on his current computer after checking it on his old one. However, after stepping out for lunch, the client checked the email on the old computer and mysteriously, all the emails (both from the internet and exchange) began self deleting from the inbox on his current one. By the time I returned the only ones that were left were from three years ago. This did not happen before the reformat when the client had his email on both computers. I was able to stop the process after closing down outlook on the old computer, but the only emails he has left on it are from three years ago. Has anyone ever seen this problem. How do you go about resolving it so he can continue to receive email on both computers without one self deleting. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Bill Ades
