Hello all, I would like to thank everyone for their input. But after several hours of trouble-shooting without success, I decided to do a fresh install with WinXP. This appears to have solved my previous issues of not being able to boot from the hard drive (Using WinME) Thanks for the suggestions Terrence -----Original Message----- From: Joe Lore [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Friday, March 07, 2003 11:51 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [PCBUILD] Win ME won't boot Hi, Make/get a windows ME boot disk. Copy it. Work with the copy only. Make sure the FDISK, sys, and command files (ME version)are on it. Add them if you need to. Bootup in the A drive. Run: fdisk/MBR That should fix the master boot record for you. Thanks and have a Great Day! Joe Lore Hello all, I have a Windows ME box that will not boot from the C: drive. Whenever I restart the system, I receive the message "invalid File System, please replace the device" (Don't quote me on the exact error message). I'm able to boot from a Win98se boot disk and by using the Fdisk utility able to see the C:drive partition is set to active. I'm also able to navigate through various folders on the C:drive through the DOS environment. Any suggestions?
