One can only hope that Nature will reclaim all the travertine that Nelson had
removed from her bosom. Which reminds me, that while at HLW, we worked
briefly on the Gov's mansion in Albany (which had been trashed by Nelson The
Modren Art Connoisseur) just after Hugh Carey married the lovely Evangeline
Gouletis. I never visited there, but saw pre-Mrs. Carey pictures, and
remember hearing that the also-lovely but evidently substantially less vain
Matilda Cuomo ordered that the mirrors be removed from the Gov's private
showers IMMEDIATELY.
