Good morning!

I had a wonderful lunch at Lottinvilles Wood Grill in
Edmond, Oklahoma yesterday.

Not a lot on their menu is safe for us (I called ahead
and talked with Michael the chef). The soups and
sauces are rue based, and a lot of the dishes have
pasta. But they do have a Rotisserie Chicken that is
seasoned only with pure spices, salt, pepper and olive
oil that he recommended. (He also said that the
sandwiches without the bread would be okay, but I
can't eat dairy, and some of them had cheese. I
didn't check that list carefully for sauces, etc.,
either.)

I decided on the chicken (one of his specialties) and
it was delicious! (Unfortunately, it came to the table
on a plate with an artistic little trail of sauce. I
began eating around that, but feared it might also be
on some of the chicken, so I asked the waitress about
it. She checked with the kitchen, found out that it
was not safe, and in a matter of seconds whisked it
away and delivered a fresh new piece on a plain
plate.)

I also ordered salad greens with oil. Since I can't
eat casein, I asked that the sides of mashed potatoes
(made with butter) and cole slaw be left off.

Everyone I talked with, including, of course, Chef
Michael, and the waitstaff were most gracious. The
restaurant is lovely, and the chicken was wonderful!
