First of all, thank you all for your input on the opera browser. We received a call from one of our instructors inquiring as to its accessibility. It's good to know that the instructors are starting to think about these issues before implementing them!

Now, I have another question. We will be implementing full Windows XP professional operating system into our computer labs by fall 2003. The adaptive software that will be installed on these machines are: JAWS, ZoomText Xtra level 2, Kurzweil 3000, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking professional edition. If I get my way they will also be purchasing Kurzweil 1000. Has anyone any experience with all, or any of these programs with Windows XP in a lab setting? Are there any specific settings that I need to make Academic Computing aware of? Is there a way to implement the smooth operation of these programs? To add to the equation, Academic Computing would also like to install Deep Freeze which is a security software program.

We have the professional edition of JAWS which allows it to run on the Windows 2000/XP machines. But we do not have the later versions of any of the other software's. It's in the capital budget list so hopefully, it will be included. But until I have the software I can't try it.

Thanks again, Penny
