I don't eat fish, but if I wanted to eat dome preformed DHA I would
eat Herring. Fresh herring (matjes) or pickeled.

It contains over 2% DHA that makes 2000 mg DHA per only 100g fish.
No doubt about what the rest is - a fish.

If the fish was spoiled you'd recognize it much earlier
as the DHA would have the chance to spoil.

I don't know how herrings could come to Austraila, however.
