Edi thanks for your interjection, I think it is time we all engage in serious discussions regarding the ulternatives to economic viability, for long Gambia always dependeed on re-exportation as a source of making revenue but since the control of this is beyond our means I think the government should take practical measures that will be within our control. You have raised certain valid point am sure there aare lots of other people with brilliant ideas that could help map out the way forward. Gambians must be players and not reduced to spectators in these decisive moments. I hope the state will take the initiative and convene a national economic forum in which all cross-section of society will take part. This way we can ferment a solution to the problems. >From: Edi Sidibeh <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list ><[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: GORGEOUS POINT >Date: Wed, 16 Oct 2002 15:57:36 +0000 > _________________________________________________________________ Internet access plans that fit your lifestyle -- join MSN. http://resourcecenter.msn.com/access/plans/default.asp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
