I have two versions of the qsy'er.
1: the Stone Mountain Engineering qsyer. No
longer sold new but when attached to the Kenwood or Yaesu radio allowed direct
frequency access from an external keypad like a telephone keypad. It
requires minimal voltage and plugs in through the computer port. I have
one on my ts870s and one on my ts2000. They also worked with the ts940s,
ts440s and probably some more.
2: Millennium qsyer, made by John Hansen and
currently sold for $95.00 shipped. Works with Icom and Yaesu radios.
It also does direct frequency input, also changes the mode to the appropriate
mode for the frequency. 28.400 = usb and so on. The Millennium qsyer
also has capability of an internal 9-volt battery. do a search for
Millennium qsyer and you will find out about it. I have and use the
millennium qsyer on my Icom ic706mk2g.
