I'm just so excited about the prospect of being able to fish in one of the premier fly-fishing locales in the world. The favorable exchange rate also means that I can take an expensive "guided" one-day trip, flying into the boonies, and the price will be silly cheap. I hope to "tip" the guide up-front with U.S. currency so he'll put me onto some decent water. BTW, for the "guided" trip, they supply everything--even down to the flies, which they tie on for you (that will be weird--kind of like having someone put the worm on the hook for you. I guess that's the way it works, though. I'm sure to be self-conscious, not being used to that sort of "hoity-toity" treatment. Kind of like a barefoot hillbilly kid in a new suit!). Fishing aside, we're also going to take a train trip into the Canadian Rockies. I'm pretty psyched about that too! I think the whole holiday should be fabulous, save for the flights to/from, and Customs. -Kyle -----Original Message----- From: Kathy Salkin [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Friday, August 09, 2002 2:54 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: Very, Very Quiet List! Well, duh! Sorry I had to ask such an obvious question, but was thinking of the hassle your friend went through at the security checkpoints. LOL Anyway, hope you have a good time.
