I have a copy of professional paper written by Robert L. Folk, titled "Black Phytokarst from Hell, Cayman Islands." Folk is famous sedimentary petrographer. In the article, he has a picture of a woman, presumably his wife, in front of some of the dissolution features. The figure legend makes note of the, "...grotesque features..." I don't know whether he remained married...
