I had similar problems with my AnyPoint network recently when I installed a DSL modem. The cleandrv didn't work for me either. An unrelated problem resulted in a complete reinstall of the OS on the server PC (Both PCs are XP Home), which made it possible for me to install the AnyPoint Connectivity Suite without a hitch. You might try RegCleaner to remove all vestiges of Anypoint from your system but, other than that, consider reinstalling the OS.
