If you were to eat meat paleolithic-style, you would be building
a stone pit or hearth in your back yard to cook it.
We neo-paleos now would mainly use an oven (to bake meat),
crock pot, or microwave as an efficient way to get the same results,
none of which the paleos had. I also use a refridgerator to store meat;
paleos didn't have this either.
