i double checked the cables and it is securely plugged. i also tried to slot in the cables in both ide slots but still no answer. i tried disconnecting the power supply from the drive
but i got a series of beeps (like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode!!) it doesnt boots  of so i turned it off.
