You didn't mention weightlifting. Stimulating muscle growth will
accellerate fat loss (he doesn't want to lose weight per se, he
wants to lower body fat %). Some aerobic activity is good, but too much
keeps muscle mass from increasin; it just makes it more difficult to lose
fat.
