Out of 40 responses, I received the following information: Gluten can be found in: Fillers or binders (serves to enhance water retention, have the meat hold it's shape as well as a protein booster, and texturizer.)! i.e. "wheat," "modified food starch," "texturized vegetable protein," "hydrolyzed vegetable protein," "starch," as well as "caramel color". Even the "home cooked" brand must be checked out. Can also contain casein. Soy protein - 1 Corn syrup - 1 Grain vinegar used in the processing - 1 In any additives - 16 i.e. MSG (if manufactured in the US it is safe if not you have to check); broth; flavor enhancers; natural flavors; spices, seasonings, BBQ, hickory, smoke, soy sauce, bastings, maltodextrins, etc. I was told that meats have the ingredients labeled right on the front and you can even ask to see the label at the deli counter. One person suggested that when calling, it is good to guarantee that the source of those items remains constant. Yehudit
