<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Here's a response from Kiehl's regarding my question of the derivative of their Vitamin E. Lisa From: Kiehl's Customer Service Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2002 7:56 AM Thank you for giving us the opportunity to answer your inquiry regarding grain derivative sensitivity. The source of ingredients in our products is considered by our vendors to be proprietary. We understand your concern regarding the use of our products that contain grain derivatives. Our research has found no clinical evidence that topical application (to skin or scalp) of grain derivatives would trigger these sensitivities. Some people have expressed concern that in order for products to be safe for a celiac patient, no gluten-containing ingredient can be used in the processing, packaging, or package surface of a product. We must say there is no way we could guarantee that our products may have not been, at some point in their manufacturing or processing, in contact with a gluten- containing ingredient. We hope that this information is helpful. If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact us. Your Friends at Kiehl
