Unless you have created an online account with the website or a vendor that has kept your information, ... then the information in the box is on your computer and is a function of IEs Auto Complete. To edit what is available.... when you are in the form box start typing your information and press the down arrow .....your choices should appear. Highlight one and then delete it. To turn off parts of Auto Complete in IE go to Tools..... Internet Options....Content.....Auto Complete. I do not see this tool as a security risk unless someone else has physical access to your computer and uses it for fraudulent purposes. Just avoid storing sensitive information in Auto Complete. Everything that is stored is encrypted and you determine what it keeps and what it doesn't. When you insert ...say your credit card information...and it pops up and asks you if you want Auto Complete to remember it .... say no. The fact that your name and address is in there probably doesn't not represent any meaningful threat...... your name and address are most likely on many junk mail lists.
