Hello Sam, Here are three solutions to your question. I routinely use the last one which has worked for me in all versions of IE with Windows 9x and XP. 1. There's a quick fix in the registry to make [Internet Explorer] always maximized. Open REGEDIT and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main. In the right-hand pane, you'll find the "Fullscreen" value. Double-click it to change the "no" to a "yes" (or vice versa). 2. Click the Maximize button (it's the middle button of the three at the top right of the screen), then click the Close button. IE will open up maximized the next time you launch it. 3. After IE opens in the small window, right-click a URL and choose "Open In New Window." Now go to the first window you opened and close it (don't forget this step, or the tip won't work). Go back to the newly opened window and drag it to the size you want, but DON'T use the Maximize button. Close the browser window. From now on, when you open a new window, it should open to this size. I have setup shortcuts with maximized windows set and still not happening. I think that there must be a registry entry/hack that I could do. Tried repairing IE and still did not help. Could anyone suggest a possible fix? Using IE 5.5 with Win 98SE and all patches including the 128 bit security. Sam Reiner _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
