As well as Mary's suggestions, you'll probably find a lot of registry
entries also which you'll have to manually delete thru Regedit. Or, much
easier, restore registry with a backup made before AOL was installed. With
some luck, this will restore most of your original ISP settings.

Otherwise, call your ISP. They surely will have struck this problem many
times and will guide you thru all the settings. There's probably some
obscure one you've missed somewhere.

Probably can't help you much without knowing what settings your ISP
requires. Unless you're VERY familiar with these, there are some in some
rather obscure places, and it can drive you nuts trying to find all of
them. And even more nuts trying to remember what they all were, even if you
thought you'd recorded them all.
