From: William Patton Date: December 4, 2001 Subject: Motherboard Jumper Identification Hello: Is there any sure fire way to tell the number of jumper pins on a board. I have purchased two Asus A7M266 boards over the past two months. The documentation clearly states that two jumpers for voltage settings for V101 and V10 should be set to default value on pins 1-2 for 2.7v. and 3.3v. respectively. The picture shown matching the board though in the documentation shows pins 1-2, but the jumper installed in these positions is in the opposite position on my boards which I believe to be pins 3-4. I therefore changed the jumper. to match the picture. I very carefully studied the board and there is no marking showing the pin numbers on the board. All the other jumpers conform to the default setting as compared to the drawing in the documentation. Question: if not marked on the board, how can I be sure of the pin numbers actually on the board. I have tryed in vain contacting Asus and using their bulletin board. Thank you, William Patton _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
