My system is a Sony PCV 210 running ME. On boot-up yesterday new hardware was found. The problem was ( is) it's duplicating the following items I already have. Std floppy drive controller Std 101/102 key or MS keyboard PS/2 compatible mouse port System devices; EISA direct memory access controller Motherboard resources Numeric data processor PCI bus Programmable interrupt controller System CMOS/real time clock System speaker System timer It also takes the printer off line I deleted the dupes in device manager, but on re-boot the problem is repeated. I can't find anything relating to this problem in any of my help files. At this point I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem and can't think of anything I have done to cause it. I have made no hardware or software changes. Can anyone shed any light on this problem or a possible cause?? Thank you.
