The DB25 male and female is a standard connector for RS232 serial. However,
IBM decided to deviate from that standard and used it differently. On the
PC, a DB25 female is the parallel printer port, and the DB25 male is a COM
port (serial). The COM ports also come n a DB9 variety that was introduced
with the IBM AT computer.

Use of a DB25 for SCSI can also be found, but it is an oddity - not really a
standard. HP uses it for some SCSI scanners, and Apple used it as well.

DB25 connectors are used for several ports on a PC; serial, lpt and SCSI.
Does anyone know the sex on the connector on the PC side of the connector.
Thanks - Jordan
