They both feel that gluten intolerance/sensitivity occurs along a spectrum....at the extreme end of the spectrum is celiac....and that it's possible to be gluten intolerance without having celiac - in other words, possible to be gluten intolerance without having villi damage. Celiac= gluten intolerance (ie intestinal antibodies to gluten) +damage. Gluten intolerance (ie intestinal antibodies to gluten) can exist without the damage....in which case it doesn't get the celiac tag. katherine in atl
