DEAR GAMBIA Whereever iam, whereever i go you come along with me. I can feel you, sense you, touch you, taste you, hear you,and more over still loate your sufferance wherever i go lonesome. You have endured me as a child, given rise to the groundnuts, rice and fruits that nourised my spirit. I know you know iam a fruit of your existence a product of you endeavoure. I cry in your name day in and day out. I call your nations name that you may piece by piece ,person by person live in peaceful dignity. I dream of your fallen children whose pain and sufferance resonate with my childhood years open your sandy beaches. I walked your steaming terrain shoeless towards the heavenly shades of your giant cotton trees. I ate your mangoes as if they were gifts from heaven unknown. My feelings of gratitude open you will not go wasted this i promised. I love who you are but motherland i cannot but disdain what you have become overnight. You have become the sad presence of a lonely mother who has lost her most beloved children. You have reduced to the dissappointment of a lonely younger brother who has lost his older brother in the wilderness looking for the all mighty dollar. Surface it may i say you still remain the life blood of me,but i cannot be with you! karl >From: kalilu camara <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list ><[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: Re: Operation Gambia First- Towards a common strategy to liberate > The Gambia >Date: Sun, 25 Jun 2000 06:13:36 GMT > >HIt no more !
