Hello and thank you all: I finally did get this computer up and running. Thanks Jun for the tip on "Never do a ""Typical"" from the Sis530 setup, install the VGA driver only!!! " That did it I got the drivers installed and after a reboot I had the proper drivers and it worked. I ran all day with no problems. A special thanks to all who helped with this computer, Jun Qian, Steve Wolfe, and Jim Hibbs. I couldn't have done it without you and this group of people. TTYL Mark Wojtanowicz <Well, nothing you can do except to try the newest driver from SiS website. If you are already trying the new driver, make sure that you do it right. SiS driver set can be only installed by running the setup.exe, you can't do it in device manager. running the setup will take you to some options, remember, never ever click "Typical", it will destroy your good work (by trying to install old DX file and other out-of-date stuff), always do a "Customs" installation, never install any DirectX, or anyother media related part, install the VGA driver only!!! Good luck. Since your mobo has been shorted, there is possibility that it has been damaged. Jun Qian> <> Hello All > > Thank you for the help.
