Annie typed these pixels from Koala Land: > I have recently struck problems running IE5 and Netscape 4.07. .... > that netscape or IE have caused error in Progman.exe, (depends on which program I am using at the time), > That there has been an illegal font on a website that has caused an error in true type fonts, > and there has been a kernal 386 error, and then everything shuts down, and I have to restart the computer. > Any suggestions? I am getting ready to format the lot and starting from scratch! Probably a good idea to start over. Windows files are probably corrupt and a reinstall over the top rarely helps that situation. I doubt if it's hardware, but go easy on applications as you reinstall and watch it carefully for a couple of days to see if the errors reappear on a fresh OS. Heat problems can generate software problems and other hardware problems can also generate the errors.
