>Can someone elaborate? The Erasmus-book seems to be recommendable? > >cheers > >Amadeus S. Fats that Heal Fats that Kill by Udo Erasmus is an excellent book, IMO. Although he is not very knowledgeable in overall nutrition, his knowledge of fats, processing issues of fats, and domestic vs. free range animal fat is superb. But the best part of the book are the chapters that discuss orthomolecular medicine vs. toximolelar medicine. For me, the best part of the book is the overview of the basis behind a holistic approach as opposed to just popping pills to cure disease. He also discusses how cancer, autoimmune disorders, and other degenerative diseases can be *permanently healed* as opposed to just *treated.* Although he has conducted no primary research on his own, he has organized much of the info that was already out there just collecting dust in scientific journals. His book was written far before some books that supposedly re-wrote the outlook on fats (eg Enter the Zone).
