An innovative research project at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, known as the Corinth Computer Project, has been investigating specific aspects of this site since 1988. Devoted to reconstructing the Roman city plan and landscape of Corinth, the research has been carried out under the auspices of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Corinth Excavations. The website serves as a medium to display how historical, textual, archaeological, cartographic, surveyed and structural data can be interpreted utilizing cutting edge technology. Holding a unique position in the archaeological and preservation communities, the website combines many mainstream technological components including VRML's, 3D fly-throughs, GIS, remote sensing and interactive stone for stone archaeological plans with the educational nature of a website. Any questions or comments can be sent to Dr. David Gilman Romano, Director [[log in to unmask]] or Nicholas L. Stapp, Research Associate [[log in to unmask]]. The new Corinth Computer Project web page address is [http://corinth.sas.upenn.edu], we look forward to your visit. Please forward this message to anyone that might be interested. Nicholas L.
