I just found the following message on the McAfee support board. It looks promising. I've downloaded the file but have not tried it yet. To access the correct page, go to the support board for VirusScan using the first link. You will need to log in as "Guest". Next use the second link to take you to the correct page. If this doesn't work, you can look for the message manually - it contains the string "System Slow?". I've tried including the appropriate section and the link to the file to be downloaded below. http://208.31.156.32/~VSC http://208.31.156.32/read?50012,53 Q - After installing the latest SuperDAT, my system has been very slow! A - This has been attributed to an older version of Mcscan32.vxd on your system. Download the attached Mcscan32.exe, at the bottom of this post, to your Desktop. Next double-click on Mcscan32.exe and it will extract Mcscan32.vxd to your Desktop (same location as the exe file). Reboot your computer into Safe Mode and copy Mcscan32.vxd into your C:\Windows\System folder and replace the existing file. Now restart your computer. http://208.31.156.32/upload/Mcscan32.EXE >From: "Guido S.
