Almost 100% certain that your CMOS battery is dead. On most newer motherboards, it is a button Lithium cell you can replace. On some, it may be a Nicad soldered in place. If the latter, many times there is a 2 pin header connector that you can hook up an external pack (since most people are squeamish about replacing soldered in components). -- Russ Poffenberger Engineering Specialist Schlumberger Technologies ATE DOMAIN: [log in to unmask] 1601 Technology Drive San Jose, Ca. 95110 Voice: (408)437-5254 FAX: (408)437-5246 Visit our website regularly for FAQs, articles, how-to's, tech tips and much more http://nospin.com - http://nospin.org
