Undear President of the United States of America,

Though we, as human beings, would not like to interact with a vulture and a man-eater like you, we are forced to write this open letter to you since you are descending down on us. We know you are coming here in search of newer areas for exploitation and oppression. As a tiger that tasted human blood, you are setting your foot on Indian soil to recruit new brokers and touts from among our rulers to help you fleece more Indian blood. As a profit-seeking businessperson, you want to see the sources of your income with your own eyes and this visit is intended for that. As an absentee landlord who wants to pay an occasional visit to guide his henchmen, you are now coming to India to direct Vajpayees and Chandrababu Naidus. May that be your purpose of visiting this great land and our own political establishment’s red carpet welcome to secure the crumbs that you throw. But we, the toiling masses of this land, would not allow the evil designs of yours and your Indian comprador classes come true. We will certainly put a full stop to your imperialist plunder of our resources and your search for our vast markets.

We want to take this opportunity to make public the people’s charge sheet about your crimes against humanity. We have all the toiling masses of Latin America, Africa and Asia, as well as the downtrodden and oppressed in your own countries, with us in pronouncing this charge sheet. A time will come when you, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the gluttonous Multi National Corporations and the regressive forces that you represent, have to stand in the dock to answer to these charges, eventually.

In fact, the crimes committed by the political, economic system of the USA, hand in glove with the MNCs and global financial-military establishments, are a legion, and the famous Nuremberg Trial would have to be multiplied hundred folds to prosecute you. Here, we would briefly state the case:

The existence of the US ruling class is absolutely based on violation of basic human rights, cultural oppression, suppression of political dissent, terrorizing the entire world by bullying, riding roughshod over the national, ethnic and cultural aspirations, and massive economic plunder of the world resources. Each of these crimes perpetrated by the ruling political and economic interests that you represent has hundreds of instances around the globe. Despite widespread condemnation from all corners of the world, your ruling classes have never even expressed minute repentance. Moreover, your   administrations, whether of Republican or Democratic, pursued the same national and international policies.

The Great American Culture, as you describe it, is in fact based on killing hundreds of native Indian and Apache cultures and thousands of aboriginal people. You have demonstrated how a colonizer group could exterminate the native population and culture and establish its own rule. Indeed, it is not at all surprising that you support Israeli invasion of Palestine and dictatorial rules of minority classes over vast majority of people in several parts of the world. That is what you did over the last five decades in particular. Driving away people from their own land, drowning their life in blood, making them terrorized lot in their own land, putting them in museums to show your valour, trampling upon their each and every fundamental and natural rights even as proclaiming yourself as the biggest democracy in the world…the history of your ruling classes clearly shows that you are the biggest danger for democratic human rights.

According to you, the globe is a market that gives you recurring profits. You do not know any thing of cultural diversity and people’s aspirations to conserve their culture. Diversity of culture is an anathema to a homogenised market for your mass products of MNCs. If McDonalds have to survive and make killing profits, the entire world should start eating your own burghers, pizzas, and hotdogs. You want to McDonaldise the entire globe. Even Hitler who wanted to Aryanise the world looks sober when your grand evil design for a single market is concerned. In this world of McDonalds, Coca Colas, Kentucky Fried Chickens, General Motors, IBMs and Microsofts, you want to reestablish an empire of consumerism on which sun never sets. You want to commoditise every aspect of life and homogenise it across all the cultures to market the commodities.

Yours is the leading autocratic administration that suppresses all political dissent and sets an example to all your clones around the world. You started with hounding progressive artists and writers and imprisoning thousands of black activists. You have supported and financed military coups in more than a dozen countries. Your CIA’s role in containing people’s movements need not be mentioned. Even as helping most atrocious dictators in Latin America, Africa and Asia, you made false claims on human rights and democracy and intervened in the internal affairs of many an independent nation, when the leaders of those nations tried to be self-reliant and opposed your World Bank – dictated models of governance. From Vietnam to Kosova, your role as world police has attracted worldwide protest but then you never learn lessons.

With the implementation of the economic reform package under the Structural Adjustment Programme of the World Bank – IMF – WTO trinity in India in 1991,your plunder of our motherland gained momentum. The economy was totally thrown open  for the  exploitation of your  MNCs. Quite a few  laws aimed at self-reliance   were  done   away   with  according   to  your   directions. Globalisation, liberalisation and privatisation has become the order of the day and you very well know that the slogans were coined by you, for your benefits and to your own MNCs. Indian ruling classes acting as your most loyal servants and their master’s voices, removed whatever little welfare state features were there. Allocations for people’s basic needs are not being taken care of and people are being thrown at the mercy of avaricious private enterprises. The consequent people’s unrest is sought to be crushed by brute force, again as suggested by you. Spending on military and security is growing multi-fold to feed your military industry on the one hand and to protect themselves from the people’s growing wrath.

While Kashmir and North-East demonstrate your political machinations in this country, Andhra Pradesh is being groomed for your financial interests. Intervening in the internal affairs of Kashmiri nationality, you are pitting both Indian and Pakistani ruling classes against each other. In the name of internationalising the issue, you are in fact, diverting the real issue of Kashmiris’ genuine and   just   struggle for   self-determination. Your administrations have been guiding Indian government’s policies towards natural resource-rich North-East, and Bastar in Madhya Pradesh. We hold you responsible for the killing of thousands of youth by the government forces in these two regions. In Andhra Pradesh, your own means of subjugation, the World Bank is using the stooge government of Chandrababu Naidu to implement a cruel market economy to suppress people’s struggles. Under the garb of maintaining law and order and creating “peace zones” for your exploitation in Andhra Pradesh, police have been killing hundreds of youth. We accuse you to be responsible for this bloodshed.

Your service industry, particularly so-called entertainment and software industry, is trying to create a social base amongst middle classes to support your interests. Diverting people’s attention from the basic needs, hype is being created on information technology, that again to fill your coffers. The entire mass media is being used to propagate your cultural values of aggrandizement, bullying, selfishness, and inhuman and insensitive indifference towards the misery of people around.

To put it briefly, all your attempts are aimed at removing the human essence from human beings and making them buyers and sellers of commodities manufactured   by    you. Thus, you, your   economic-political-military establishment are the Enemy No. 1 of humanity, notwithstanding all your tall talk of human rights and democracy.

We, the people of India, will one day smash all your plans of subjugating the whole world. We will certainly teach you a lesson by throwing you in the dustbin of history. We will create a new history where one person cannot exploit and oppress other. We will clean up all this mess and usher in a beautiful   world, which   you   and   your ilk, cannot   even   dream.

Thus, we cannot stand you on our land. Get out, Mr. Clean-shaven Hitler!
