Harry,

When you open Chrome, you land on the address bar. Press tab at least once
and then try enabling the virtual cursor. Make sure you haven't opened an
app like google Docs or Google Sheets. There are Chrome and JAWS settings
which might make it easier for you to navigate Chrome. Check the Freedom
Scientific website for a list of their recorded training. There is a wealth
of resources. You probably want to make sure Chrome opens in desktop mode so
JAWS shortcut commands will work. I did a quick Google search and couldn't
find the command. I hope I'm not giving you incorrect information. Here are
two other things to consider. You may have accidentally logged out of your
Google account. Make sure you are logged in. There may be site security
which is preventing you from navigating a page. I would explore the screen
to see if there is a message about site settings. I have this problem in
Firefox and can't find a solution even though I know there is one. I hope
these things help.

Dan

Harry

You didn't tell us what internet security package you are using as that too
could be the culprit.

When I run into situations such as this, I turn to the Jaws for Windows
support list

This Groups.io list has many many experienced Jaws users and is truly the
best place to turn for problem solving.

It's probably something simple and silly to solve your issue; and, when I've
been there (as we all have been at one time or another), the above list has
been a lifesaver and where one can learn a lot about your screen reader.
