Sounds very unusual and still actualy undiagnosed.  Seems like some very
unusual problem.  I would think that doctor would want to do some
appropriate testing or exam.  These are signs that something is very out
of balance.  Sorry I don't have time to research more for you now - if I
was less busy I would.  Bleeding in that area is a definite red flag - a
good doctor would investigate until finding the root cause.
