Let me note that for reasons unknown to me, I never received a copy of my
original post, or the reply. I had to read them off the Maelstrom
website (archive) at:

Thanks for your comments. I'm trying to post information that is of
interest (sometimes of direct interest, sometimes of indirect interest)
to people following (or interested in) alternative diets, specifically
raw foods diets -- both vegetarian and non-veg.

My website has in-depth analysis of raw foods diets on it
(http://www.beyondveg.com). Most of the website was completed a few
years ago. I have not (yet) found the time required to update the site
articles, some of which are lengthy. However, I monitor, intermittently,
a large number of science journals that publish articles relevant
to material/articles found on the website. I do this to collect
volumes of new information that may be of use in updating the site
in the future.

In turn, as my schedule permits (see remark below) I post some of the
relevant abstracts/citations here, so others who are interested can get
the articles and read them. So basically this is a continuing
education (and research) process, for the list/site readers and for me as
well. I enjoy research, enjoy spending time in university libaries, and
enjoy writing as well. My ultra-busy work schedule makes it hard for me
to find time to write the long, comprehensive, detailed review articles
I prefer.

PS I have considered a "regular" EZINE or e-bulletin. But that would
introduce schedules and deadlines as obligations. Posting here does not
involve outside obligations: I can stop (or reduce/limit) posting when
I have lots of paid work to do (e.g., the situation from now until
mid-February).
