Check this out:

Glycemic index examples -

Baked Potato: 121
Cooked Millet: 101
Refined White Sugar: 92
Raisins: 91
Banana: 77

... Interesting, huh? The cooked carbs have a higher GI than pure sugar.
And the high-sugar sweet fruits are considerably less... And raisins are
very concentrated in sugars, especially since they are a dried fruit...
