Hi David.

No need to be impressed.  I'm also a nutritionist, and completely
convinced
that this is the diet that the human body is ideally designed for.

I am male, 6 ft tall, 150 pounds.  I have not been sick a single day
in 14
years (I was 75% raw for many years before going all raw).

I also know many people around the world who are longtime raw vegans,
and
all enjoy perfect health, as soon as they get all the years of debris
out
of their bodies.

On an all-raw vegan diet, because the body is able to easily
assimilate and
use everything you consume, the body gets very efficient.  Today, I
eat less
than one-third the number of calories that I needed 10 years ago.  On
a
typical day, I'll eat something like this: NO breakfast, 4 or 5 pieces
of
fruit for lunch (could be apples, pears, peaches, mangos, etc), and a
green
salad for dinner which varies but might typically about a pound of
greens,
an avocado, a tomato, etc.

I eat 4 or 5 salads per week, and the other meals are all fruit.  I
occasionally eat some soaked nuts or seeds, but not much.

People often fail on this diet because they don't get all the crap out
if
their system from years of eating animal products, and dead cooked
food.
True carnivores don't just eat the muscle, which is the most
acid-forming
part of an animal.  In fact, they start with the intestines, and other
water-rich internal organs, they drink the blood, and after eating the
meat,
they eat the very alkaline bones.  I could give you lots more reasons
why
we're not carnivores, but there have been many books written on that
subject
already, and I don't have the time right now.

Most people will lose significant amounts of weight when they go to a
raw
vegan diet, whether they're heavy or not.  The body will clean itself
out as
soon as given a chance to.  The weight will come back on over time, if
the
body needs the extra weight.  After a mostly raw vegan diet for 5 or 6
years, with no processed foods, I still dropped to about 130 lbs when
I went
all raw, and laid off the excess nuts.

Then my system got very efficient, and I slowly climbed back to 150
while
eating less food.  Around 1000 calories per day.  Sometimes more, and
sometimes less, but always far less than someone my size is supposed
to
require.  But most nutrition "science" is based on typical animal and
cooked
food bodies, and is meaningless.

We think of a fast metabolism as being a good thing, but this just
means
that the body is working harder.  I think you'll agree that it makes
sense
that if the body can get the same benefit with less work, this is
better.
That's what happens when you only eat high quality organic raw fruit
and
leafy greens.  We get everything we need, there is little waste, the
body
loses few vital nutrients, as happens on a meat based diet, and the
whole
system becomes incredibly efficient.
