Hello, Susie Miller and welcome to veg-raw. While in New Zealand I crossed
paths with an Andrew who had a brochure for your network. I loved it--esp
about not being for any particular style of raw eating.

Two things:

One. Re: deydrators. I don't know anything about making crakers and such,
but dehydrators in general may be a bit of tech overkill. Maybe you don't
need the heating element at all. We have dried many fruits and animals
foods with a common table fan, the foods placed on a wire mesh (1/2" grid)
which is cheaply obtained at a hardware store. I feel heat may not be so
very important in drying. Air movement (fan) and relative humidity are the
major factors. Even in humid air we have been succesful drying with a fan,
and esp in low humidity air a fan is all that is needed. Heat does lower
the relative humidity, but often it already low enough. YMMV.

Two. I bet _you_ have a great list of worldwide raw communities available.
Would you consider posting them here on veg-raw? I would be quite
interested in what's out there.

Cheers,
Kirt
