Hello,

It is said that Vitamin D is necessary for the assimilation and/or fixation of
calcium. As far as I know, no plant food contains Vitamin D. Is it correct?

Our body is able to synthesize Vitamin D if we are exposed to sun rays. But
people living in cold/north countries have to wear clothes to protect them
against cold. Also, in winter, daylight time is much shorter than in summer.

Besides moving to an appropriate cllmate, what would you suggest to a raw food
vegan to do in order to get enough Vitamin D?

Thanks a lot for any information.

Pierre Gaumond.
