No, it's not about breatharianism. :-)

If you have access to DW, Deutsche Welle, the German network, be
aware that they broadcast (today):

"Living on Air and Love,
A Young Woman Does it Her Way"

(A film by Ute Schneider)

on their "In Focus" program, at 12: 30 PM GMT today (Sunday)

The film is a "ZDF Inside Report" and descibes the lifestyle of a
young woman who left school just before graduation and is
living, without income, in an abandoned stable. The raw-food
connection here is that the report claims that she lives on (raw)
fruit and wild herbs for months at a time (note: she looks rather
well-fed for the claim to be accurate, though it certainly
is possible).

The primary emphasis of the report is on how her rejection of
technology
and society has caused numerous problems for her (as others dislike
her
lifestyle). The report also discusses the similar lifestyle of
the man who inspired her to change her lifestyle. That man's diet
is not as restricted as hers, as he is shown picking food out of
garbage cans to supplement his diet.

Anyway, if you have access to DW, you might find the report
interesting
because of the social aspects - the rejection of those whose lifestyle
is decidely non-standard. Social acceptance can be a real problem on
(strict) raw diets.

PS DW often repeats the "In Focus" program and there is (of course) a
German-
language version as well. DW is available on some cable systems here
in the US; locally (San Francisco area) some DW programming is carried
on broadcast channel 32. (Note: one does not need to be on cable to
receive channel 32 here.)
