Hi---

While Bragg's is popular among many raw fooders, it is definitely not
raw itself. It is a bottled, processed soy bean extract that I believe
is essentially concentrated soybean sodium. It's got significantly less
sodium than salt or soy sauce and has a delicious taste -- although
different from salt or soy sauce.

There are differing opinions on Bragg's. I know one natural hygienist
who's used Bragg's for years while on a 99% raw diet. On the other hand,
my wife went to a vegan restaurant recently in (near?) Venice Beach
where the owners thought that Bragg's wasn't particular healthy, and
subsequently didn't serve it. (I don't know if they used any salt
substitute).

I'd like to hear more opinions!

Jeff
