As you said, the company is only interested in profit...

That question interests me too. My guess (but my guess only) is that
 -Before slaughtering, animals shouldn't be parked in dark trucks; they should
have enough space to move freely.
 -They shouldn't see, hear or smell (the blood of) other animals being
slaughtered.
 -The process of killing should be as fast as possible.
