    Whoops, Laurie does not claim that babies 'cannot' recycle; I
think this recycling of amino acids is inherent in the general process
of the body's dealing with a cell that has expired.  It isn't dumped
into the toilet bowl intact, but rather disassembled into amino acids
for recycling.  Apparently, this is not 100% efficient, for if it
was, we would not have to eat protein once we reached adult size.
