When I was editing a food labeling newsletter, and thus receiving copies of
warning letters the FDA sends manufacturers who violate the law, I saw one
letter the FDA sent Bragg's. In the letter, FDA contended that Bragg's
contains glutamate [as in mono sodium...] that is not declared on the
label. I did an article on this, and sent the info to Hippocrates which
thanked me and said they would investigate. This was about six months ago,
and I never heard the result of their investigation.

Jeff:
>There are differing opinions on Bragg's. I know one natural hygienist
>who's used Bragg's for years while on a 99% raw diet. On the other hand,
>my wife went to a vegan restaurant recently in (near?) Venice Beach
>where the owners thought that Bragg's wasn't particular healthy, and
>subsequently didn't serve it. (I don't know if they used any salt
>substitute).
>I'd like to hear more opinions!
