Tom, Ward,

Congratulations! Great Work!

My experiences from 1995 - 1998 on the Compuserve Natural Medicine
forum, of
people on all sorts of transition and healing diets, and others still
pretty
much committed to SAD or just finding out about natural foods, by and
large
confirm what you have reported. This group and the individual
experiences of
short and long term members make a useful study because of the lower
factor
of self-selection, as opposed to a group dedicated to one diet
philosophy
such as the Paleo list membership or various raw lists. We didn't have
any
instinctos, raw meat eaters, or fruitarians in our group though.

If you guys are not now totally burnt out on this stuff, you might
consider
joining Compuserve for 1 month if you can do that for free, doing GO
NATMED
and downloading archives of the various diet threads - which span a
period
of at least half a dozen years (healthy eating section). I also have
some of
them buried on a tape drive someplace but I haven't gotten around to
digging
them out.

Paul
