Hi all,

on September, 21st, 1999 I unsubscribed from this list because there
was nearly no discussion any longer. I've followed your discussions
as a silent reader up to now where I would like to come in again and
write some contributions.

Having finished my work in cologne at the beginning of April 1999 I
did some work in my home city (Berlin, capital city of Germany), then,
in the midst of march 2000 went on business travel again, this time
to Duesseldorf (don't know an english version of that name, sorry).
So I'am working in Duesseldorf from Monday to Thursday, then flying
home and spending the weekeed at home.

Some words about my nutrition...
Still I am eating all raw and are ordering 95% of my foods from
Orkos. The remainder is provided by an excellent local asian market
which I enjoy since years.
After four years of recovery from a nasty heavy metal intoxication
(amalgam fillings) some eating patterns are changing now.

While in the past years I have consumed tons of fat (avocados, olives,
fatty nuts, fatty meat and fish - you name it, I ate it :-) ) my
favorite foods are slowly shifting now.
Sweet fruit has decreased a lot, the exception being tropical fruits
of excellent quality and ripeness. Even those I eat much less com-
pared to one year ago.
Meat has been extremely important in the past years. The reason I dis-
covered very lately being, that meat contains sulphuric aminoacids
needed to detox mercury. Well I just followed my instincts (to remind
you: I am an instinctive eater) and they always called "meat" in the
last years.
This has changed recently and meat has become unimportant. It's so
funny: for years I enjoyed it and found it luminous. And now the same
good quality just tastes a little boring.
Today I still enjoy huge amounts of avocados and olives but I think
these extreme needs will fade soon.
My noon meal consists of a small amount (one pound approximately) of
fruits and vegetables. The evening meal is mostly a big amount of
avocados (one pound minimum) followed by filberts and lots of olives.
Man those foods are heatening!

Apropos heat: my ability to stand cold temperatures have im-
proved over the last years. Warmth has never been a problem and a
cold cold european winter leaves me unimpressed. I've thought of the
idea of walking around in a t-shirt when temperatures where around
-10 degrees celsius. Unfortunately the warming properties of my
evening meal did not continue for the whole of the following day so
I'am still wearing more clothing in winter. ;-) But who knows...

Also I've tested my bodily temperature management by swimming in a
relatively cold lake recently. The summer began unusually early here
- in April instead of May. Well I found out that the first minute
in cold water I need to breath quickly as if I had finished a long
run. Funny. Then the breathing relaxes and I start to swim. The longer
I spend in the cold water the less it is uncomforting.

To put it all together I find myself in an eating pattern that is
similar to long term raw-fooders provided they do not exclude animal
foods. Less sweet fruit, more fatty and protein containing foods.
I think I will do an experiment with ketosis soon since the last week
at noon I wondered if I should eat fruit at all. I felt much more
attracted to avocados again. Will report about the results if I try
it.

Best instinctive greetings

Stefan
