I watched orangutans (Mpongo pygmaes, also Simia satyrus)at Semenggok
Wildlife Center in Malaysia (Borneo) eat bananas. I did not personally
see them eat animals, but the local guides said they ate insects and very
small animals. They said these orangutans were 97% genetically the same
as humans.
