the latest issue of "Health Science", the magazine of the American Natural
Hygiene, arrived (July/August 1998, 21(4)).
There are two Letters of interest. One (pg. 6) is from someone who claims
success on 100% raw (after 6 years) and is irate at the ANHS for
criticizing 100% raw food diets in a previous issue. The ANHS reply is
relevant - citing the extensive experience of those who criticize the
100% raw diet.
A second letter (pgs. 7-8) asks whether Herbert Shelton was sick at the
end of his life. They say yes he was sick (but don't explicitly say that
Shelton had Parkinson's disease for 10 years). Then they go on to mention
the overwork rationalization, and suggest that Shelton failed to practice
what he preached!
The rest of the latest issue is mostly fluff, sad to say.
