I presently live in Lausanne, Switzerland.
I meant our genes must be realy adapted to these fruits because they are
said to be the most ancient ones, the first fruits to appear on Earth. I
used to live in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) for some years and there they were my
basic and prefered food, along with durian... and sea turtles eggs!

They may taste as great, but different.

The breadfruit is initaly from the Pacific Islands where it is only eaten
grilled, backed or boiled. But when it's ripe, ready to fall or already
fallen on the ground, it's soft and very tasty raw. It gets creamy, yellow
inside. It gives you a very typical instinctive stop when you have eaten
enough, in the form of a disgust feeling. You d'better stop immediately at
the first apperance of the slightest disgust, otherwise nausea at sight of
it will prevent you to eat anymore breadfruit for a long while - at least
it's my own experience.

Rawbest,
Francois
