Dear David,

I have been doing the zone diet for over a year and it has helped me
tremendously. I don't follow it all the time now, but I can usually feel
the difference as it's become habit. Some people think he requires too much
protein, but if you get a scale and weigh it out 3 oz portions are fairly
small compared to the normal american diet. There are some recipes in the
archives for sprouted breads; I tend to find the Manna multi-grain bread
tasty enough and more convenient than making my own. It's usually in health
food stores and is made from sprouted grains pressed together and heated at
a very low temperature.

I didn't know about the nuts not being bioavailable enough! That surprises
me if the nuts are raw. Maybe he doesn't distinguish between raw and
roasted nuts; can you let me know? or maybe someone else has some
information about this.

Good luck.
